Merry Christmas Everyone!

On Tuesday the 17th of December readers of The Rebel gathered in the Grosvenor pub (which is less than 10 minutes from Tate Britain or Pimlico tube) to celebrate Christmas and to celebrate the launch of "The Roar From Behind" CD by Piper's Son (our album of the year). The first 50 people who arrived received a charming hand made Xmas card.
There was a short but sweet unplugged set from Thom Driver's Piper's Son
followed by a bit of a Christmas sing song with a few special guests: Micko Westmoreland, Mikey Georgeson, Andrew Petrie, Derek Jordan and Gerard Aza!

Neil Innes meets Micko Westmoreland

Bonzo Dog Band legend Neil Innes came to North London yesterday to meet producer/arranger Micko Westmoreland and hear the latest mix of "RIO"
"Rio" was originally a hit by Ex Monkee Mike Nesmith. Neil's new version which features The Values and various guest musicians is sounding great. There's still a bit of tweaking to do and then Team Beswick and Pye will make a full length You Tube film to go with it by June. The 2014 FIFA World Cup will be the 20th FIFA World Cup, an international men's football tournament, that is scheduled to take place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014.It will be the second time that Brazil has hosted the competition, the previous being in 1950. Brazil will become the fifth country to have hosted the World Cup twice, after Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany.
