Nigel Planer and The Values have recorded a reggae version of Lou Reed's song 'Femme Fatale' for a charity album called 'Femme: Her Anthem' that will be released in October. The musicians backing Nigel are Johnny Turnbull (guitar), Paul Speare (sax), Clare Kenny (bass), James Lawson (drums), Juian Wakeling (harmonica) Francis Macdonald (keyboards, backing vocals and percussion), and Hugh Macdonald (backing vocals). The track was mixed by Francis Macdonald - Colin Gibson and Chris Tosic both helped with the recording. 'Femme: Her Anthem' will be the 14th album released by The Specialized Project who raise money for worthy causes such as Tonic and The Teenage Cancer Trust. Previoulsy The Values have collaborated with fantistic fellows such as Neil Innes and Roland Gift. The video for 'Femme Fatale' features portraits of Nico made by esteemed artists such as Sarah Doyle, Alice Herrick, Charlotte Bracegirdle, Emma Coleman, Daisy de Villeneuve, Julie Bennett, Adam Kinrade, Hugh Mendes, Jonas Ranson, Pierre Julien, Sandra Turnbull, Micheal Coles, John Heywood-Waddington, Marie Louise Plum, Ritchie Lamy, and Harry Pye.
